Technical Recruiting

The right people change everything.

We run the technical interviews your team doesn't have bandwidth for — and source the AI-native engineers you can't find on your own. No recruiters. No keyword matching. Practitioners who know the work.

Technical Interviews

We conduct rigorous, multi-stage technical evaluations designed to reveal what resumes and take-home assignments cannot — how a candidate actually thinks, builds, and solves problems under real conditions.

Our Process

Three stages. No shortcuts. Every candidate is evaluated by engineers who have built the systems they claim to know.

Stage 1 — Architecture Review

We present candidates with a real-world system design problem drawn from production scenarios. No textbook answers. We evaluate how they decompose ambiguity, make tradeoffs between competing constraints, and communicate their reasoning. We watch for the signals that separate senior engineers from people who memorized system design flashcards.

Stage 2 — Live Pairing Session

Forty-five minutes of real-time collaboration on a codebase the candidate has never seen. We observe debugging instincts, tool fluency, how they read unfamiliar code, and whether they ask the right questions. This is where AI-assisted candidates fail — you cannot copilot your way through a live pairing session with an experienced engineer watching your process.

Stage 3 — Adversarial Deep Dive

We drill into the candidate's claimed experience. We ask them to whiteboard a system they built, then stress-test every decision. Why that database? What broke in production? How would you redesign it knowing what you know now? This stage catches candidates who padded their resume or relied on AI-generated project descriptions.

Interview Integrity

AI tools have fundamentally changed what a technical interview can trust. We have adapted.

Environment Control

All live sessions are conducted on our controlled environments — no second monitors, no browser tabs, no ambient AI assistants. Candidates code in a sandboxed workspace we provision and observe in real-time. The environment is designed to be fair and functional, but airtight against external help.

Process Observation

We do not just evaluate the answer — we evaluate the path. Our interviewers watch keystroke patterns, pause cadence, and editing behavior. AI-assisted candidates exhibit distinct patterns: unnaturally fluent first drafts, immediate jumps to optimal solutions, and inability to explain intermediate reasoning steps.

Adaptive Questioning

Our questions mutate mid-interview based on the candidate's responses. We introduce constraint changes, pivot requirements, and ask candidates to refactor their own solutions under new assumptions. This eliminates rehearsed answers and pre-generated code. Real engineers adapt. Assisted candidates stall.

Provenance Verification

Every claim on a resume gets traced. We ask candidates to walk us through specific production incidents, architectural decisions, and debugging sessions from their history. We cross-reference timelines, technologies, and team sizes. If you say you built it, you need to prove you lived it.
